Effective strut-based design approach of multi-shaped lattices using equivalent material properties

We propose an effective approach for designing a multi-lattice structure (MLS) that simultaneously considers local densities and the fillet-joint shape of struts to express practical equivalent material properties. The density each cell is optimized by changing strut diameter radius according loading conditions. properties MLS, such as elastic modulus shear modulus, are calculated based on computational homogenization method. Finite element analyses full-shape homogenized lattice model under external compressive load conducted evaluate also designed three-point bending using proposed Based results topology optimization, three types lattices with different relative in zone considering deformation modes. result this work shows has about 86.9 % higher strength than uniform BCC same weight.
